InspectAll was founded on a simple but powerful idea: inspection software should be flexible enough to handle any inspection, work reliably in the real world, and stay independent of the forces that often pull software companies away from their customers.

Our Story

Shortly after graduating from Georgia Tech, founder Jason Shehane went to work as an engineer at a home builder. In 2007, while in that role, he began creating his first inspection software. It was crude and ran on early Windows tablets, but it taught him the fundamentals that still define InspectAll today—true offline capability, reliable synchronization, and the ability to capture media in the field.

When the housing crisis hit, Jason moved to a heavy industrial company. There he built his second inspection system to help technicians perform OSHA inspections on critical heavy machinery. Running on early Windows Mobile devices, it proved that meaningful inspections could be completed on smaller, more portable hardware—including the emerging smartphone.

As the iPhone gained traction, Jason developed the next version specifically for it. The combination of a smooth, responsive interface and tight hardware integration delivered real utility in the field. The software mixed offline access, flexibility, and strong reporting in a way that quickly became popular both inside the company and with customers who saw technicians using it. People started asking where they could get it.

In 2011, Jason left to start InspectAll. He hired top-notch developers in the Atlanta area, including fellow Georgia Tech graduates, and built the product from the ground up as a truly flexible inspection platform—not locked to one industry or one type of inspection, but capable of inspecting all. The company was self-funded and independently owned from day one. The early years were difficult, but the product steadily won customers because the return on investment was clear. Features shipped weekly. Over time, InspectAll became a leader in the industrial inspection space.

From its roots as a startup in a garage on 14th Street in Atlanta to the solid, reliable company it is today, InspectAll has remained founder-owned and independent. We’ve kept our startup DNA—moving fast, listening closely, and shipping what matters—while growing into the trusted industrial inspection platform used across crane services, heavy industry, facilities, and beyond.
